Beckerheads vs Rat Packs

I like the requirements and hope they don't lighten up. I like to be able to look at the list of members and be like, "oh, yeah. I know him/her and their posts." as oppose to "who the hell is that? I've never heard anything from them."

We don't plan on making any changes, in the near future. As we move forward, we may ADD to, but not take away from. Right now, it seems to fit, quick enough to obtain, but lengthy ennough to see who wants it.

For now only a Beckerhead. Don't own any ESEEs yet, but I do support the cause.

the beauty of being a RAT packer is that it's a state of mind - no purchase necessary. :)

I only own Becker and a few other kind of no name knives. I have never owned an Esee. The closest I'll ever purchase to an Esee is probably the Eskabar BK14. For the price of one Esee I could get two Beckers. I'm sure they're great knives and probably worth the money but I just can't justify purchasing one knife for the price of two knives. I guess thats the frugal part of me. Plus Beckerheads are just a fun group :D

What is a Beckerhead? :p

There is a lot of mix, mainly because of the friendly bantering and friendships between the two. Beckerheads haven't been around as long, either.

The thing is, ESEE and BKT are close friends, both here and in real life.

PS, just a warning, if this thread turns ugly, I'll lock it fast, so, jesting and joking is fun, but keep it fun. Thanks guys.

Yea, I'm glad its so. I love both companies. Thanks, It isn't meant to be ugly.

I like my Beckers as much as my Esees. I just don't have enough posts in Beckerland. Beckers, Esees and Kabars are my favorite knives by far.

These two groups share members without any animosities. So it's not really a rivalry as much as it's a respect that each group has for the other. I spend quite a bit of time on the ESEE forum as well as Chris Reeve and a few others. When it comes down to it, it's just a Bladeforum thing.

LOL... That's funny.

I own both also. I am slowly working on my pack requirements. I'll get there someday. :)

Although I have knives from both Im not a member of either community... plan to be some day.

Im fairly new to these forums and interestingly the reason I recently picked up my first Becker was due to the ESEE guys giving the product good reviews. I have 3 ESEE knives and love them - really happy with my BK7 also.

Plus I like the banter between the two camps - both great forums and good info.
