I was just wondering what everyones combo was. I'm looking at building a new kit looking for ideas. Currently I have a Guyout 38oz glacier cup, crkt spork, Some sort of stainless pot and 2 pans I found in my father inlaws old camping gear.

You mean, what's your mess kit that goes with your BKT knife, right? I mean, a spork will only take you so far, but you need a knife in there somewhere, like, your BKT Bk14.

I use one of these guys:

coupled with a Snow Peak titanium spork and a BK14, and it works for darn near everything. I also have some of those Fozzils fold flat dishes, and those are great for a plate or a cutting board.

I just figured the Becker was a given. I EDC an ESKABAR, so it wouldnt really be in my mess kit, on the other hand I do EDC my mess kit in my bag so sure I have a bk14 in my mess kit lol

I've got a few set-ups.
In my truck, I always have a US military canteen, canteen stove, and a Trangia alcohol stove.
I have another similar (spare) set-up with the USMC version of the stove (closed bottom, burns gel packs). No pics of either of these.

In one pack, I have the White Box Solo stove with the MSR Titan Kettle and a Snow Peak mug. It all nests together nicely.

In another pack, I have a Snow Peak Ti Gigapower stove with the Mini Solo set.

I also have become very fond of the Jetboil PCS system. I have the frying pan and larger cook pot for this system as well.

I've been known to carry and use a SuperCat stove I made. Pot is a stainless version I found online.

I've played around with this set-up, but haven't carried it afield yet. Swiss Volcano stove. Can be used with a Trangia or with a stick fire.

Other stoves? I have an MSR Pocket Rocket and and MSR SimmerLite. (Pocket Rocket shown below.)

Absolutely.
Here's some obligatory Becker content since this thread was addressed to the Becker crowd.
Guys, consider this when you title your threads and when you write your initial post.
Remember the ESEE forum and its departure from BFC. We don't want the same issue here.

Here's my portable stoves. The 2 that are connected to the gas canisters are generics. The one that isn't, is a Brunton Raptor, my fav:

I like how small the Brunton folds, and fits into the case:

Group shot (I have another mess kit similar to the one Derek posted I gave to my wife, but don't know where she put it):

Twig stove I won here from Snakedoc, and pocket folding stove. This is actually the second folder I bought. I left the other behind camping one time.

I like how it folds flat, and has a case, but it's sometimes difficult to get folded, and also is heavy at 2lbs:

That is a cool little stove.

I just missed them last year when he let the first 100 or so out of the works.
I wasn't going to miss them again. I went ahead and pledged for the Backcountry Boiler Supreme.
Looks like it's a winner to me. No fuel to carry and a quick, efficient burn.

How much did they go for?

A cup is 8 fluid ounces.

For the Boiler...

•Capacity, absolute: 20+ oz (591 ml), recommended max boiling: 16 oz (475 ml)

That's pretty good. Really like that little stove. Very interesting.

Grabbed a screen shot from the end of that video.
On the left is the "Prime" model ($105, sold out), and on the right is the "Supreme" ($80).
Main difference is anodizing and sleeve/sack combo on the Prime.
I could have gone ultra fancy and gotten an engraved, anodized version (the "Signature" model) for $45 more, but that seemed a little silly.
I really like the normal sleeve on the "Supreme." Reminds me of the full sleeve on the Jetboils. Good hand protection.
And I like the roomier stuff sack into which you can also tuck tinder, a spoon, whatever.

I have a old kit from my youth & A surpuls swiss ( I think) kit. Most of the time I use my SS cup and make a pair of chop sticks with my BK11. Now some of the scouts in my sons troop are trying chop sticks.

i have one of those old US Arrmy mess kits, i dont have any pictures, but i'm sure everyone knows what i am talking about
went to a local pawn shop, and i am not sure how verify, but the one I have is supposed to be WW2 surplus (as opposed to others that were supposed to vietnam era surplus)

need to find a cup though for the kit

If I am planning to be out overnight car camping with the family I take a regular old pot from the kitchen along with the stansport black granite mess kit.

On a day hike I will just use my canteen cup and not carry a mess kit.
