I have been really off kilter for the last few months and not able to get online to post much. I really appreciate the threads where folks show how they have gotten out and hit the trails. I'm planning on getting outdoors more and am in need of some new boots for hiking. It got me to wondering...what boots do folks here wear for hitting the trails and and packing their Beckers out into the deserts, mountains and woods? Feel free to toss in some pic's of your boots and Beckers in action!

These are the boots I wear, Rocky Alpha 8" zippers.

I have the Cabela's 7" Uninsulated Outfitter Series Pro Hunting Boots. I love them. They were about 150 and came in wide. I have used them for hunting, camping, hiking and everything else in between--They are comfortable to have on your feet all day and have tons of traction. Sorry that the pic sucks. My phone takes amazing photos outdoors in natural light but horrible pics indoors in low light.

I have the Insulated (800 Gram) Cabelas Outfitter Pro Hunters for winter - excellent boots, fit me like they were custom made, gortex lined and all leather.
Keen targee II are what i usually wear for summer hikes.

I wear either these:

Or these:

Both boots have a Gore-Tex liner which keeps my feet dryer, both from outside moisture and from sweating feet which I have issues with. The Sundowners I have had for over 20 years and are still in great shape to this day, no issues at all. I just got the GTX's 2 years ago, but have quickly became my favorites unless there is deep snow on the ground.

I'm generally a Redwings guy, but I bought a pair of Danners a bit over a month ago and have been very impressed so far. Very fast breakin and very comfortable to wear out hunting and at work. The pair I have are called Danner Rainforest.

Well, I have a biased opinion on this one. I stick with my military issue boots......all of them. For one reason, Uncle Sam keeps giving them to me......lol. They may not be the most comfortable, nor are they without faults....but they are durable and did I mention free?

Love my Muck Chore Mid boots. Perfect for a snowy/icy Maine wintah, as well as mud season (spring thaw). If I don't need boots, most of the time I'd prefer to be barefoot anyway....

This is the boot I am considering. It's made by La Sportiva and looks to be a good boot...I will be trying it out to see tonight.

I enjoy a full C cup...just a pleasant handful. Im not one of those guys who gets all crazy for a triple D.

Rocky Portlands.

These damn boots are my sole mates. :D

I got'em on right now, and wear them pretty much everywhere. I gotta get them resoled soon.

When they was new. I just got them 2 days before we did this shoot.

It's typically wet where I hunt and my LL Beab Main Hunting Shoes do the job pretty well. BTW, there's a BK9 on my left side in the shadow of my ponderous belly.
