With all the posts of Beckers and meals, I am surprised there isnt a sticky for this yet. A place where we can go to get hungry (and stay away from if we already are)-A place that may inspire the trading of recipes or tips in the culinary arts. It could also just be a place to show off some pics of Beckers and bacon. I will start it off and see if it takes off (Im sure this has been done before and if I actually used the search function rather than scrolling through the first 3 pages of threads, I'd find a thread like this...but oh well)

In the spirit of resolutions, my new years resolution was to make healthier decisions in all aspects of my life (physically, nutritionally, spiritually and family-wise) I am trying to eat less, move more, post/lurk less and play more (with the kids and wife:D)

With that said. I am cutting out meat a few nights a week (we dont need to eat as much meat as we do) and substituting for other means of protein and adding more veggies. Last night I made a simple vegetable stir-fry-(used the 2 to cut up some of the veggies)-Lots of different veggies, slivered almonds and only 2 tbs of olive oil--Had it over white rice (should have been brown I know but that stuff tastes like cardboard) with just a few chow-mein noodles and a couple drops of soy sauce. Surprisingly the kids loved it.

What pseudo-asian meal would be complete without a psuedo-asian dessert (had to use the 14 to split it)

Woohoo More BECKERS !!!!!!

I think it's only fitting, since the designer of all those fine knives is quite the cook himself.

I'd like to kick it off with a video from one of my favorite "outdoors experts", Ray Mears. I think making food from scratch in the woods is a part of bushcraft many of us forget easily. Everyone can bring Mountainhouse meals, but then you might as well drive your 4x4 to the camp site, put up your tent with collapsible bunk beds inside and sit there next to your alcohol stove for a few days.

Great idea for a thread. I use my BK2 for kitchen duty also. Will try and get a pic posted. Pics of Beckers doing anything is cool by me! :)

You forgot the cooler full of cold ones, some other stuff and the hookers in gravity boots :D

Alright, so not the healthiest meal, and maybe it has nothing to do with cooking in the woods, but I had to work remotely today, so here's how I chose to do it.

Mmmm.....that was a meal. Moose ate one too didn't he? One of you did...
