You still need a BK9. You can't not have a BK9.
I had that same thought the first time I got my hands on my BK2 years ago. And I continue to have that thought with each new model I get. I am constantly amazed at how much knife you get for the price.
I don't think you get that much for the price. It looks like most guys buy a knife for $75, then buy handles for $40, spend another $10+ stripping off the finish, another $40 on a better sheath. Add SS hardware, etc. IMO esee knives are the better value. now if u just buy the knife and are happy with it, then they make sense.

Do you have any Beckers? A BK2 costs $60 IF you want micarta thats $40 Esee has coating too so the $10 comment is irrelevant. Esee has a kydex sheath with some models but some folks dont like that either.
So for $100 I have a BK2 with Good handles or for $150 I can have an Esee 5 that still has no ergos and the BK2 has a better grind. Yes I have plenty of Esee knives the 3 is a great EDC size but Becker wins the value part hands down and still has better ergos.

I know nobody will want to hear this, but the bk2 is a joke of a knife. My $6 Brazilian machete will out chop the bk2 in every way. Add a $20-$30 pocket knife to go with the machete and you have all bases covered. I have a bk10 and love it, but this love of the bk2 makes no sense. Sure, a big heavy knife feels cool in the hand, but their is no point to such a design.

That is great, but , that is also your opinion....I am confident in saying that most of us that read the threads in this forum would disagree with you. And I think you are missing the most glaring point of all,.. this is a thread about liking, enjoying and being addicted to Beckers, in the Becker Forum.

Thanks for the interjection Moose. At no point was I trying to squash anyone's opinion or points. I do/did see the value in all things said both pro/con. I tried/try to be respectful in any post I make, if I didn't it was unintentional.
Oh, you're fine. Think of it as a friendly interjection, into a good debate, making sure the rules of engagement were spelled out.
Plus, I love using that pic of Jeff........
