Ouch!!! not using a Becker is like keeping a thoroughbred tied to a post. I use my BK1 all the time, I even introduced it to a roosters neck or two.
I got the last BK1 around these parts. I also regularly chop off bird wings. I have also taken an axe sharpening file and cut the top 2 inches or so of the swedge, between the tip and hammer point, into a cutting edge also. I can fully understand having safe queen backups, but currently do not have that option. So I will use the hell out of this knife. I am used to the weight now and love this thing.
