Eat them on top of the haggis. I imagine if you document it well, you can save those pics up for the next "eat something crazy and win a knife" contest we have.

I actually kind of like haggis -- but hate canned "food" -- that's why i never bothered eating it. (that and it was made in Texas -- that's 2 different kinds of haggis heresy)

Not funny, Wohlwend closed up his shop for the summer before he got my mega slicer done.

I know, I know, I'm the one that tells people that if you're going to buy Mark's knives, you're gonna have to get used to the wait. I just SUCK at waiting.

If Bill Akers put more of a shape on his handles rather than them being mostly just round pipes, I'd send the specs to him and have him make me one and I know I'd have it in like ten days.

I LIKE HAVING GRIP, NOT FLAT THIN SLABS? NEVER HEARD THAT FROM ANYONE? "If Bill Akers put more of a shape on his handles rather than them being mostly just round pipes" I CAN DO ANYTHING WITH THE HANDLES, IF I LIKE HOW THEY FEEL IN THE HAND THATS HOW I LEAVE THEM, SORRY IF YOU WERE DISAPOINTED
BILL

So I ordered some O1 tool steel, 36'' should get me a few knives. Now I need to figure out a place where I can get it heat treated after I grind it. I am pretty excited.

Get in touch with Darrin Sanders. I bet he can do it. He does all the heat treating for my blades, and does a fine job.

crap. Andy Griffith died!

That sucks, I always loved The Andy Griffith Show. Don Knotts looks/sounds/acts JUST like my Mom's father.

Thanks CF, I just did a little searching and found him on here. He prices look good, when it come times to the heat treat I believe I will be sending him some steel!

I'm gonna PM Bill, but I figured I should point out that while generally his handles I've felt or looked at weren't for me, that's in no way saying that Bill's knives aren't completely bad-ass. I just generally like more contour and do like them flatter on the sides. It would not be accurate to say I was disappointed.

BRL, Bacustomknives, IS Bill Akers.
I am sure he can make a handle any way you wanted. I have seen a lot of different styles come out of his shop. All of them beautiful.

Anybody have any experience with the Gravityworks filter system? Most I've read about it is good. I think I'm going to try one out.

I just uploaded 75 pics. So expect photo-whoring. :)

The sheath you made for my warnie looks real nice Thrill. I likey! The Daizee knife looks like a nice piece of work as well! Good stuff!

Friday snark to you all! I'm off work, so I plan to load up some various .308 rounds and bench test them this afternoon. Should be a good day.

That water filter setup looks pretty sweet Trade. Let us know how well it works when you get one.

Good morning. Yesterday was filled with chicken drama. I have a hen that is trying to hatch some eggs. Its her and our first time at raising chicks the old fashioned way, and probably way too hot to be a good idea. Yesterday morning we had a chick hatch and found it dead, but had another that was starting to hatch. I relocated momma and the eggs so she had a bit more room and wasnt with the other hens. Have one that hatched and is doing great and 5 more eggs that might hatch in a few days.
