'Twas a fantastic weekend, albeit a cold one. It was a couple of firsts for my daughter - her first Becker West and her first snow camp. She handled it like an absolute champ.
I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked (I never do) but I managed to snap a few.
This is an excellent location, right by a creek, surrounded by trees and LOTS of this frozen white stuff.
In case you haven't seen enough of Bill's epic sword spit, here's another shot with a couple of slabs of brisket.
Honor and I didn't shoot for speed on this challenge. It was a learning opportunity for her so we took our time - plus, I like to think we had the most stylish setup

. Success was had and though we looked like bosses, the style didn't make the bacon taste any better....
Odin was a delightful companion - many thanks to
Awesom-o-4000
for bringing him along. He even had his own chair.
Here is a pretty sweet shot of Honor hurling a "spear". (thanks to
pease
for the capture)
I had the privilege of making a pretty excellent Guinness beef stew - perfect for this kind of weather. I am biased and thought it turned out pretty excellent but I heard no complaints from the others and there was zero leftover.
This shot turned out pretty cool. Firelight reflecting off the trees with the moon and stars gleaming in the background.
Few more shots of the country we got to camp in.
We remembered out fallen.
Thank you to all who helped pull this off, we had an amazing time. I am already looking forward to the next one.
