BeckerWest!! November 13th-15th Fall 2015

Good point Johnny!! Thank you Ethan for everything that you've done for us lovers off you're knives!!!!

Had a blast all weekend, on my way home, I drove threw a snow strom, lol. I will post some pictures later today. Always fun hanging with the homies!!!

What a great relaxing weekend!!! KABAR and Ethan, thank you again for all of the generosity and great steel!
Awesome-O really deserves a special thank you! He really breathes life into this event. Not only is he a hell of a guy to drink with but he really has a way of getting us out of our comfort zones with his creativity in the contests. The man has skills and I've walked away from this thing taking home a skill I didn't have before.

Ok not a lot of horse trading for me this time but I did score two beauties.

I got an outstanding sheath for my Bushfinger from NixKustoms. The man makes a hell of a sheath!
The other score is a 710 Customs Topper in 52100 with Beyond Wood Products handles. I can't say enough about this blade. I tried to carry another one over the coarse of the weekend but after about five minutes I had to have it back on my hip. We all know about JD's sheathes but man o man does he make a hell of a knife!

Well, I survived my first one. Glad I got convinced to come out. took today off to recover because that was one busy weekend, don't regret it one bit and would do it again with no hesitation. :)

It was nice to meet you! Keep coming and your skills and knife collection will grow.

On my way down I had to stop by Kens Artisan Bakery for some passenger bread.

Here's 710 pondering lifes great mysteries. Or maybe just thinking about how smooth he was when he was being filmed for a new YT video...

Saturday mornings breakfast was killer! So was Nick's plumbers butt...

Let the games begin!!
Awesome-O had a great idea for the fire challenge. We were all given brand new "Survival/Hunting" knives from Harbor Freight. We could use the knife, a bit of birch bark, and the matches in the handle to start a fire. Later on the knives would be used to make a spear for the spear throwing challenge. Good times!

This is what last place looks like...:D

Noah, Tom, and Nate finished 1st, 2nd, and third. A participation point was given to the rest of us entitled millennials.

Next up was the slingshot challenge. Fal'er is so gangsta he does it smokin' a pipe.

Next up was the spear throwing with our own handmade spears made only from the HF knife. Logan schooled us all. 3 sticks with 2 bullseye's.

A look at some of the prizes KA-BAR sent along with some Trailbum Kydex. Thanks again fella's! We all really appreciated the gifts.

A few of the days winners. Logan, Pro Tourist, and Noah.

I didn't get any pictures of the chopping competition. But it was fast and furious and won with a BK9.
We shot clays with a 12 gauge for the shooting comp. Me and Pro Tourist tied for first and he ended up taking me out in the shoot off. Has'nt shot a 12 ga. in years....uh huh...:D

After JD tallied up all of the days point totals, Noah emerged victorious as the days Grand Champion. Awesome-O presented him with a one of a kind trophy and many hugs and kisses.

Ironbone and Kelly brought their 2 daughters up to hang for a few. They were little sweethearts. Here's Ironbone explaining to one of his girls how to start a fire.

Hanging around the fire.

Pirates do love rum!! Unleash the Kraken!!

Saturday night's fire was warm and many laughs were had.

I came away with some pretty cool stuff...
A BK21 sheath from 710, a hybrid sheath from NicksKustomz, a BK2 from KA-BAR, a Mora Kydex sheath by Trailbum, a Stars & Stripes Kydex sheath from 710, a Fiddleback Forge Bushcrafter from Abrasion, and a saber 16 from Awesome-O.

It was great getting to meet Nick's girlfriend Jen. Also Awesome-O's buddies Andrew and Donnell. KingMC it was great getting to meet you and look forward to seeing you next Spring.
Ethan, you were missed and we all hope to see you soon.
Thanks to everyone for an incredible BeckerWest Fall 2015.
See you all in April!

Abrasion, I'm glad you like the sheath. I forgot about your negotiation skills. :)

JD, That is a killer picture of his dudeness. Lol

Johnny, glad you like your sheath too. Maybe you'll hang on to this one? ;) haha

I'm still a little irked that you guys took this long to introduce me to the Machax. Much like the Kraken, it's reall got me hooked.
