I spy in the first shooting photo from Captain Airyca's album, a 91/30 Mosin Nagant rifle and a SMLE, two great old rifles. I own two just like them and love 'em.

I sore had a grand old time........ I even think I am Adjusted(somewhat ) to Beardlove's rather obvious personality defects...LOL.......I took a lot of mind pix (good thing as my freaking batteries were dead )........watching Dan absolutely MURDER the 4x4 in the chopping contest is a firm reminder to stay on his better side, I think something like SEVEN lbs. of bacon were consumed at Saturday breakfast and about six kilos of Bread went away........ Three gallons of chili evaporated......Seeing so many well mannered younger folk learning and doing was truly a sight to behold....... I am not sure whose idea it was to hold the fire contest after dark, in the rain and with wind but a whole lot of learning happened there for sure.........

As always I am absolutely amazed at what good people have come together with my knives as an excuse......And how much I enjoy their company........The welcome at my first PNW Gathering was wonderful and this gathering was like slipping into a warm bath of friendship........

The power of the beard gave Dan a 22 second win! I've never seen anybody swing like that before.... holy $hit! is all I could say!






















man, It was fun hanging with all of you, can't wait to do it again.. sorry we had to leave early but had to get everyone home for monday..

There is a great bit on the State of Jefferson on the show "How the states got their shape" on discovery. Pretty interesting. Really enjoyed meeting you and the family. Your young'un is one smart cookie. Hope to see you all again soon.
