How does one become an official Hog, Rat, or Dog?

Just wondering what causes the transition from piglet, ratling, or puppy.
 
I think you have to be "Inducted' at one of the gatherings like Blade or KC? Heard Jerry takes a Gladius and does sort of a dubbing like a King does his knights. ..."I king JB of Busseland hereby dub Firestrike as an honorable and worthy HOG"....something like that?
 
For me it was Blade Show. I believe it's the only way now ? I've heard of other locations but none of which have been mentioned lately. I'm sure a more knowing Hog will be along soon with more info.
But I will say, if you can make the trip to Blade you will have a BLAST !!!!!!!!!!

but I think if you call Lexi it can happen :)
 
Online inductions can be done, but it's MUCH more fun at the Blade show!!!:thumbup::D:thumbup:
 
I have often wondered what the process was to be declared a "hog". Do any of these make me qualified?
Thousands of dollars for Busse and Kin. Done!
Hourly checking on blade forums for a great sale on a Busse knife. Done!
Told my wife just one more for the year. Never happened. Done!
Daily use and fondling of my Busse and Kin. I believe all this playing is making me go blind. Done!
Constantly waiting for two weeks to end. Done!
Am I missing something?

If so I'm a hog for sure. Lol.
 
To be a hog, you have to be inducted and you get a cool t-shirt. Jerry knights you and you are in.
 
OK, FIRESTRIKE....


Don't listen to these guys. I'm here to set the record strait.

Step 1: Mail all your Busse and Busse kin blades to an official authenticator . Me.

Step 2: I will gladly authenticate your collection over the next several years. When certain they are official Bussse and Kin they might be returned. The authentication process is extensive as the blades must be fully vetted.

Step 3: Following proper vetting, and after sending authenticator a bottle of fine single malt scotch you will likely be approved.
*HINT- More than one bottle speeds up the process.

Okay, how does one get inducted? Does someone need to recommend us? I would love to be considered a hog as Busse and Busse kin have become such an important part of my life. Seriously, I spend more time on the forums learning and interacting about these wonderful knives than anything else. I have a serious case of Infi envy. 😄

Go to blade show or visit Jerry and bring him a bottle of JWB. Instant Hog.
