becoming a knife dealer

I would like information on becoming a knife dealer. I want to be able to buy direct from the manufacture. I also would like to be able to buy and sell automatic knifes. Any information on how to do this would greatly appreciated.

You will need to get a Retail Sales Tax Number from your state in order to buy knives wholesale from the manufactor.

To sell autos, you will have to fill out more papers that the manufactor should have.

A piece of advice. Start out with a distributor such as http://www.moteng.com/moteng/default.htm
or http://www.nkdi.com/

With them, you can buy just one knife at a time of several different brands and you are only required to have a $100 minimum order. With the manufactors, you have to have a large order of each knife.

I would highly recommend either Moteng or NKDI. I have used both for the factory knives I sell. Moteng has a better selection.
