Bee hives?

Well I took a hike out in my dads back yard which is full of country. I took along my Bear recurve bow just thinkin I could get some rabbits. I took a shot at one and missed by about a foot, while chasing the arrow down I found a tree with a bees hive in it and quite abit of bees swarming about. I was wondering if any of you guys had any methods of getting the bees honey, the fact thet it is high in sugar might mean it would make a good food in survival.

BEE ( ;) ) carefull not to harm the hive. Bees, especially wild ones, are bee-ing slowly driven to extinction.
We had some hives as a kid that a local old bee guy harvested for us, all he wore was long sleeves and light colors, no smoke either.
Not sure where you are, but it is probably a little early to harvest much honey. Wait till after everything starts blooming.
