Beefy, larger folder

Benchmade Vector is AO and has a sharp point. Strong lockup and it's 8.9 " so it's big. A bit over 4 oz. with dual steel liners. Made to cut so it's not a thick blade (0.10). I like mine because it's auto like with instant opening, yet not an auto when I travel to places where autos are strictly prohibited.

I don't like AO usually but I'm really only experienced with AO frame and liner locks. I wonder if I would like this?

Assisted opening is a must have too
I know you say you want assisted since you will be carrying it all the time, but if you are opening a knife so much that assisted is important, I would say get a fixed blade, or maybe reinforce whatever pocket you are clipping onto/unclipping off of so much.

Good luck with the search though.

:) I have a few AO . They have worked just fine for years . ZT and Kershaw Ken Onion "Speed Safe" . Only about a zillion of them in service . Just because they're not in vogue doesn't mean they're suddenly junk . If you like AO , buy it !:thumbsup:
