Ive carried my Endura 4 in VG-10 all over the world, in deployments and courses. It still works the same as when I bought it new. I’m feeling the itch to pick up something new. I’d like to go a little smaller but not give up too much in blade length and get a premium steel.

So far I’ve been looking at the Para 2 in Cruwear and the Bugout in M390. Any thoughts on these two or is there anything else out there I’m missing?

Hell ya! Love this sort of thing. The Endura 4 is my favourite Spyderco platform.

I have to say, if you’re looking to go a little smaller and add a premium steel, why not try the Endela in K390? It’s between the Endura and Delica in size, and that steel cuts like a laser beam and holds an edge for ever and a day.

EDIT: Ajack60 Ajack60 beat me to the punch. Well-played sir..

I’d like to see some pictures of this knife! I bet it has a lot of honest wear and that’s just cool

Sorry I left this out the price range, not too picky on this under 300 is a safe bet thought.

Well, Don't get a Bench-Maid... They love to destroy guns... Stick with Spyderco and you cant go wrong with the PM2... I happen to like M4 steel A-LOT...!

Good luck...

There are a lot of great options offered by Buck. My 841 with S45VN-Bos Heat Treat and Carbon Fiber Scales, satisfies my needs at that price range.

I am a big fan of the K390 Straight Spine Stretch, it is really a better PM2 in my eyes.. the Gayle Bradley 2 is the poor mans Sebenza and most pocketable of all, the Native.

The CruWear Paramilitary 2 would be an excellent choice. If you want to stick with a Japanese made Spyderco for familiarity, the Stretch 2 in K390 is another excellent choice, although K390 is not stainless.

I’d agree with just about everyone, spyderco. Tons of options, I love the para 2/3 and lil native. I also eventually want a Gayle bradley.

The Delica s30v Wharncliff is great. I nabbed one on sale recently for $68. A wharncliff Endura in s30V would be awesome.

Id also recommend taking your time and watch the exchange. You can definitely find light users or lnib for $300 that pumches way above your budget. For example, a Les George vecp just sold for $275.

So many options!! Any knife stores near enough to visit? It's always best to handle a bunch of stuff to learn the best choice for you specifically. For instance although they both have the full flat grind you like in your endura, the pm2 is pretty big and a bugout is pretty small. Also trying out their different locking mechanisms would be good before buying. And hopefully you can find one that also carries WE knives or another high grade Chinese product.
