how do i make a sheath like this one?

and what materials are generally used?

i love this type of sheath, its beautiful in its simplicity. very utilitatian yet good looking.

anyone have a good "how to" on this?

what types of tools do i need to get

where can i get the right kind of leather?

Near as I can tlel from the picture that's just a simple pouch sheath, Skaere("simple" in that you can make it yourself easily. I love them too). If you go down about four topics Graymaker just put up a great picture tutorial on sheathes like this, then several topics farther down there is a general one on leather working(called Leathermaking 101 or something) that has tons of info from Graymaker, Wildrose, Pendentive and others.

Those two threads should help you with anything you need to know.
