Beer and Blades!

Not a beer guy... I prefer home-made wine and mead. Here's a shot of 3 of my favorites:

The Western G46-8, the Kabar MK2 (this one is a guard marked USN) and 1 year old Mustang Grape wine. Just popped the cork on the first bottle of last year's vintage, smooth and fruity with a 15% kick. Had to test it on it's birthday. :D

Nope, never heard of it. Will have to check Jack Keller's Wineblog to see if he has a recipe for it. He's into trying to make anything that grows into wine. He even has a "Sand Burr" version.

I've just made Mustang Grape, straight mead, peach and strawberry wine. About to experiment making melomel (mead with fruit juice added during fermentation). This year's vintage of MG is about to begin production. I may have to buy another refrigerator for storage. I have 93 bottles in 2 refrigerators set to about 63 deg to mimic cave storage.

Barley Wine is a beer style not any type of wine, just the name. It is a big malty alcoholic ale usually with very little hop character.

Some good bavarian beer, brewed in Vilshofen, district Passau, South Eastern Bavaria.

There are so many great bavarian beer in my region. I haven´t even tasted them all... but I will do :D
