Beer and Blades!

The snap on the blade is wicked and has no lock . The spike has a lock , I wish it was the other way around . The beer towels are from our travels , we like to pub hop and we look for these type towels , we always offer to pay for them but the tenders always just give them to us . The little cap opener is also a shackle key.

Tell us more about that blade! I mean, I see the compression lock but did it originally have scales? What is it? More pics?

Spyderco A.T.R. (At The Ready) now discontinued

Basically a Frame / Compression Lock. They were made in SS, Black SS, and TI versions. I believe the SS versions were all VG-10 (made in Seki Japan) and the Ti versions were S30V (made in Golden, Co). It is as slim as any of the stainless handled Spydies and flow through construction.

Wow thank you for the info! That is a very handsome unique blade. Congrats!

On the Spyderco ATR you can see, just above the hole in the blade a ridged addition, that was called the "Cobra Hood". It made opening the blade very positive, as it gave a good purchase for your thumb to open the blade. John

An Underworld Brewing Double IPA (8.5%) coupled with a Cain Straight Ligero Maduro and a some gear table toss that includes a SHARPWERKS friction folder. The scales appear to be G-10 with a smooth spacer but I am not aware of what the blade material is. The closed pivot area has a nice incorporated cap lifter and it carries well in the pocket with the leather pouch/sheath.
