I am not sure if this is the right forum to post his but I want to find my self a Beerlow. Now, trying to find one of the GEC / TC versions is probably not going to happen as they are rare and are scooped up quickly when they do pop up. I am thinking of getting someone to make me one.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to a builder offering a Beerlow? Any help would be much appreciated.

I need one of these!

Contact Evan Nicolaides (sp?), who goes by Esnyx. He makes the beerlows, and he can make the TC if you want that.

I tried him. No dice. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Awesome. Thanks, Greg. Any idea if they do custom work?

The trestle pines knives are made by Queen. For Trestle Pines. I don't think you can just order a one-off special.

GlennBad is another dude who does custom mods to slip joints, and I'm pretty sure he could make you one if you got ahold of the barlow and then grabbed a crown lifter boys knife, since they're the same frame.

If I could find a TC Barlow I would probably just hang on to it as is. Haha. They are damn hard to come by as well. Thanks for the suggestions.

Another vote for the Trestle Pines Grand Portage. It's my daily carry and I think the Wharnecliffe main blade is great. Added feature is the nail nick is designed to strike a match on to light, and the screwdriver/caplifter is made of 420 steel and designed to be able to use on a ferro rod.
The main blade is CPM 154. I can't say enough good about the GP.

I would recommend just finding a TC Barlow for yourself and leave it as is. Then search out a Crown lifter configured knife that suits your needs as well. As mentioned, there are versions made by Queen (Trestle Pines if you want it to be a Barlow), Case has a trapper with crown lifter, or GEC has several knives such as the #15 Boy's Knife Crown Lifter which is still available at many of the GEC retailers. Or one of their other versions on the secondary market.
A pic for content. :D

I have been trying to get a TC Barlow for months. You cannot find them new. By the time the email notification comes through that one is available in the forum someone (or usually three people) have already claimed it. Popular knives. I love the TC Ancients.

Did someone really do that to an ancient, or is it a photoshop?

Not a photoshop Rachel. I've seen that knife posted elsewhere by the owner.
Not to start controversy or negativity, but there are so many other, easier to find Barlows that one could modify...
