Might I suggest an Emerson? You clearly like the wave- why not go with the original?
 
I actually like it. Then again, I wish Spyderco offered waves on a lot more knives, the Police and Civilian being my top choices, so its no surprise. :D
 
I think I'm going to take your advise.

Was looking at it again and I think I have done more than enough to this knife.

Hey, I couldn't help it. Any chance an AF guy gets to rag the Army, well... They'd do the same and that's just fine with me. As for the knife, well SS, you did a great job. Does it look good? Cosed, yes. Open, no, it's ugly as hell. Looks like Spyderco made love with a LaGuiole. Would I be afraid of losing all that structural integrity? Yup! Therefore, would I intentionally use it as a SD blade? No freekin way. I'd go with 5.56's advice in that department. But, if you're happy, that's good. Now, this is where I would normally make a parting comment about the inteligence of the infantry but, nah. Maybe some other time. Wish I were still in the fight though SS. Keep pushin and if you get in a jam someday I hope my Warthog (A-10) buds can help ya out.

I'm out, haven't worn a blue cord for 4 years. Only "enemy" I got around here are the dopers who could potentially kick my door in.
 
Well, at least you're prepared. I'm more leery of certain members of society than I was with the enemy in the sandbox.

I totally agree. If i were you id just tig on a little peice of metal to the top of the circle pointing fowards which would do the same thing.

Me too. At least over there I was humping a SAW or an M4 everyday everywhere. Not so now. The problem is I still think like an infantryman and if I acted on my training now, I'd probably be serving some serious prison time. :(
 
Just buy an Emerson they already do the wave for you get the CQC 8 it has about the same blade profile as your waved Police.
 
I do see an 8 in my future.

As far as the tig, wouldn't that f up the heat treat?
 
Ok... This is what I'm going to do.

I'm buying 2 more P/E G10 Police models.

One of them will be kept %100 original and NIB.

The other will have a wave TIG'd on. I'm still wondering if that could adversly effect the heat treat. Maybe someone can tell me.

I think I might double edge my chopped knife. Call it the Spyderco Nasty:D

I was shocked at first, but seeing it closed is kinda growing on me, but that doesn't matter b/c and it is your knife. That is what is great about it, you can do whatever you want. If you ever tig a wave on top let us know.
 
I was pricing them on the bay... Next month, I'm buying a large CS Espada, at least that one won't require any hacking to wave. The month after that will likely bring a belt grinder and 2 more G10 Polices. I will definitely post pics of the TIG and double edge jobs. :D
 
That's one thin blade, it's probably become an even better slicer than it was before. I think the Police 3 needs a wave as well, ever since the waved E4 I've been wishing every knife had it.

I was a little leary opening this thread by SS.I knew it was gonna be a wave mod.I'm still having flashbacks from what you did to your skirmish:eek::D;)

Seeing the before and after on that Police reminds me of rwo women on the Sopranos. The before is Toni's Russian girlfriend she was just a thin long legged hottie. The after reminds me of her sis....it just seems like something is missing now:)
