Looks like you really miss the 710, and for a classic (which I prefer also) the 710 is as classic Benchmade as you can get. Most any Spyderco won't carry as slim as the 710 does. I think you've made up your mind so no need to talk yourself out of it. If it's the size and style you're looking for, you can't go wrong with a 710.
I'd just go with the 710. Since the design was released it has become a modern classic. The design just flows, and it just works. Great materials and craftsmanship. You wouldn't be missing out on much if you just bought another one. Not much can compete with the good ole 710. I had one for years and had to sell mine just like you did. I instantly regretted it. I sold it to somebody on the forums. It was painful putting it into the box to ship it.
The 710 is a nice knife and I'm sure you will enjoy the one you just ordered, but I would suggest you have a look at a spyderco military when you get a chance. I find it to be best in class in that size range.
