I am totally new to knife making and was looking for a couple sites with good info for begginers

Welcome to the best learning tool and search engine you ever connected to...this forum is loaded with all the best info you could ever wish for, and then some.

I have been able to garner some very real, and timely savings of this forum during the last couple of months and am forever in the debt of all the contributors (real and unreal).

Ask any question and you're liable to get an answer within 24 hours usually from someone that has already done it (and got the T-shirt, socks and underwear to proove it).

Enjoy yourself.

All the Best

Don't do it! Run, run away as fast as u can! It's a disease and there ain't no cure...and you'll spend all your money on tools!!!!

Check out also www.dfoggknives.com for lots of info, links and inspiration where custom knifemaking is concerned.

However don't take Harry Jensen's advice lightly. Unless you just want to spend the rest of your life dirty, gritty, and broke. But you will have a great collection of tools!!
Take care,

My first knife looks like total crap
I will keep tring.

My first knife looked like total crap too. Fact is my last one could have been a little better. That's what makes this a sickness. You keep trying, but the bar just keeps getting higher and higher.
