beginners forging tutorial...

anyone know of a good one? i have no idea how people can manipulate steel into the shape of a knife blade... :)

i know the best will come from doing it, but i need to start somewhere...

The best I can offer is to get a copy of Wayne Goddard's "Wonder of Knifemakeing", or "The 50$ Knife Shop".

It showes the basic preform and discuses many aspects of forging to shape.
