I'm trying to do a behind the scenes bugfix to alter some things with paying subscriptions. This should be pretty transparent to you guys, but if someone's subscription goes wonky, please post and let me know.
 
Update: I've discovered a couple dozen profiles that have exploited a bug (intentionally or unintentionally) causing them to have paying memberships much longer than they should.

So, if your membership just reverted to "Registered User" from Gold, Knifemaker, Platinum or Basic, this is why. Some of these memberships apparently were from the non-automated system as well, showing nobody's perfect, especially me.
 
I'm working on Golds, I've finished basics and knifemakers, golds (being the biggest group) is going to take the longest. I'm about 1/4 done with it right now and will probably complete it tomorrow. :)

Hey Spark, I noticed an RSS feed for one of the forums I have isn't updating. Part of what is going on behind the scenes?

Completely separate issue, you might need to change your feed since we just did an update to the forums software.

Yeah, it's gone a little crazy. My knifemaker subscription apparently expired a couple days ago, I renewed but am now shown as a "registered user". I do seem to have knifemaker priviledges with respect to forums I can access, etc.

I may have been part of that bug exploitation, but I certainly don't have the digital savvy for it to have been intentional.

You still love me, don't you Kevin...? :)
 
Spark, I cam back as a registered user, use to be GOLD.

I am unsure of my anniversary date, however we get reminder emails to renew dont we???

I never got one if I was out of date. When you have time mate, no rush.

Funny... If only I was smart enough to figure out how I exploited that bug!

Just to show you that I still love BFC, I just renewed my Gold membership. At least, if it was my account that had done it... and not just that it expired and I forgot when the last time I renewed was...

Gold member? I was originally a knifemaker member. Sorry for all the trouble you're having there Spark, don't mean to add to it. I just finished up a couple blades and would like to post them in the knifemaker's section if I could have my membership back. Thanks for all the work on this Spark.

I'm also trying to figure out why I paid for a gold membership only to have the listing pulled saying I wasn't a gold member. I have confirmation. Please help:confused:
