It's all good as long as it's not a

Learned a new word today. Perfect description of most GEC releases.

Limited to Gold and above in this forum should give us all plenty of time. And Spark said he would give us warning so it's all good.
Yes! So glad I’m not the only one. I read the word “lollyscramble” and my mind started going places.

Like a group of toddlers all scrambling around after a piñata bursts to grab a lollipop? That sounds very much like grown adults at a GEC drop.

Maybe a scrambled egg with pieces of lollipop mixed in? Sounds like some of the Franken knives I’ve heard folks putting together.

Either way, message heard loud and clear, I’m gonna try and use this word in conversation this week!

I'm excited for this one. Definitely looks like the jigged bone will be the winner of the bunch 😁

No, but i can grab one for you if you're going to be away when they drop. But i don't think we're supposed to be talking purchasing. .
ahh..... got it. That's a great offer... I might just have to take you up on it. I'm planning to take my laptop on my trip, but I'm not sure how connectivity will be. I'm going to try to stay in touch on my regular sites, so, fingers crossed, I won't miss it.... greatly appreciated, amigo....

Ireland is very technologically advanced. You should have no problems. They moved on from stone tools and rudimentary fire pits several years ago.

You should be fine. There are not many places where you cannot connect anymore, and any where that is Tourist centric always have good connection. Otherwise in Todays world no one would go there if they could not stay connected. You'll be good, but you have a stand bye if needed. .

Oh yeah, I remember the potato in the glass of water with the wires coming out to produce electricity! Well, maybe not but I’m sticking with it. 😜

I'm with you.... we leave Sunday evening, to be gone for 16 days.... not a cruise, but still not in the country....
going to the emerald isle.... 😁

To be honest, we'll be in London 2 nights, then on the ship to Edinburgh, Stornoway, Inverness, Dublin, Belfast, Amsterdam, Brussels, France and back to London for a 2 more nights. I will only be bringing an iPhone and iPad mini - it's too much risk and trouble to bring a laptop, but I wish I could make it work. Trying to do things on a small device with 61 yr old eyes sucks. I have to use up all the spare room for a laptop in my carryon luggage with a battery powered CPAP machine and oxygen concentrator, and spare batteries.

Sounds like a great cruise... we will be hitting some of the same places... we arrive in Dublin, then on about the 14th or so, will be in Belfast. Then we ferry across to Glasgow and from there to Edinburgh.... (eddin-burra) We've been there before, but I'm looking forward to seeing it again.
I have a nook tablet that can do internet, but it's pretty iffy... so I'm sandwiching the laptop into my suitcase.... hopefully it will survive.

As someone else who travels with a CPAP, I thought I would mention that you are allowed to carry on medical devices separately for no extra charge. I usually carry mine separately from my backpack. But it does add to overall encumberance.

I only remembered to get the doctor's letter for the oxygen and fax it in to Iceland air, and not the cpap, so the cpap and battery will go in my carry-on not my backpack, while the oxygen and batteries will be in a small drawstring bag separately as my "extra" medical bag. It's now less than the 48 required hours to submit another medical device.

I might be able to squeeze the cpap and tubing in the small drawstring bag too, to make room for a 2013 MacBook Air 13" in my carry-on, but it may not be worth the effort. The CPAP is an AirMini and the battery is the same size, so pretty small. My DreamStation CPAP will be in my checked bag as a backup.
