Its neither. The proper name for this pattern is a surveyor jack, but the handles are upside down..... The surveyor became the railsplitter at some point in time.

pistols at dawn, sir.

GEC has forwarded this based on my input as this year's Traditional Forum Knife

I strongly prefer natural materials, so Jigged Bone is perfect in my view. We are looking at 600ish pieces this year, pricing to come. Before anyone asks, yes this will come with a button too.

2023 marks the 25th year of BladeForums, so this will be a special offering. We still have time to get the front and back labels together for this so I'm open to suggestions or submissions.

Like last year, you will need to be an active member of the Traditional forum to purchase these (25+ posts in this forum, member since before Jan 1, 2023) or have a Gold or higher membership.

EDIT: A sharp eyed member pointed out that there appears to be a rendering error in the middle picture; they are correct, this is a two blade design, not a 3 blade
Can’t wait to get one! Very nice!

Gorgeous design and handles- and a wonderful surprise midweek. I’m excited for this one, thanks Spark Spark for hosting a great forum and for putting this together!

Blade each end, just the ticket!

Not a Norfolk I'd say, I agree it's a Surveyor but Wharncliffe Surveyor or Inverted Surveyor....as it's upside down ;)

The frame has potential to house all manner of blades in the future...Cattle Knife type too?

But the Forum gets the first model  Swell-Centre Forum.

Wonder what colour the Jigged Bone will be? Dark Red is always appealing...Chestnut...even Dark Green. Only change I'd propose is putting a GEC Orleans or Banner Shield in the centre, Banner as it's a quarter century celebration .

Many thanks, Will

Looks good. Hopefully not as elusive as the 2022 knife.

Favorite frame with favorite main blade with favorite swedge and favorite single spring opposite end jack set up. Favorite bone color and a favorite shield. I'm in for 2! I need one to use and one to keep new in case I lose the first. Man this is gonna get a lot of pocket time!
