Belt ax......

I've been working on a couple hawks and this belt ax the last couple weeks. Its got a 3 1/4" cutting edge and the head is 6" with an 18 1/2" haft which I believe is hickory but I'm really not sure. Its got a half buckskin wrap with turks head knots to finish it off. The knots are round leather. The head was hand forged from 1" square 1084/95....

Very nice. Great proportions. Would look great on the belt right beside one of those shear steel hunters!
