Belt Buckle Knifes....Your thoughts

My opinion is that belt buckle knives are a good way to end up in jail somewhere. They really have little value as a user, as most are dagger like blades and most jurisdictions will consider them concealed weapons. Again, just my opinion.

well put, says it all.

Just to clarify this type of belt buckle knife is not a dagger
but a locking folder that fits inside of a buckle holder/holster

I was in your position 2 weeks ago. I wanted an EDC that was small + accessible. I got the plain + cheapest option at www.belt-buckle-knife.com. Best thing I've got this year -at least. I have learned that all knife advice can be summed up to either user opinion or ‘…it depends what your going to use it for..’

Here’s what I can say-

-I bought it sight unseen only the web clips--so I was expecting to get disappointed. I was not!
-It is a small blade but it is more accessible than anything in one’s pocket.
-it’s discrete I’m not sure anyone would ever think it is a knife ( I have the one w/o holes)
-It’s probably not for self defense but that leads to another debate
-I thought it would be a cheap piece of junk—it seems solid good rivets etc

So conclusion: small knife + readily accessible + solid + discrete

Those actually look pretty cool to me. Too bad the knives are not high quality.

I think I'd shy away from any that were dagger type or that were actually an integral part of the buckle though.

Seems to me that maybe Dalton made a run of belt buckle knives once.
