For a given hardness, the blade at any grit finish would be equally prone to scratch, right?
Lower grit finish would be less prone to show it, but even at that, if the scratch is against the grain it will be seen.
they all will scratch, but i think it looks worse the higher in grit you go to. on the other hand i think 120 is pretty low for a finish. the lower the grit, the faster they seem to corrode/rust/patina. 600 grit seems to be a popular choice for a satin finish.
