I call this one the Belt Hawk. It`s made from 1/4" O1, with a full length steel handle, and has a head 4" from front to back, a 3" cutting edge, and is 11 3/4" overall. There is a bit of the heat treat scale left on for that "old time" look. The handles are lightly torched oak, with 5 -1/8" brass pins, and is 9 1/4" long. The cost on this one is SOLD shipped in the USA, money order or check only.

Yeah really cool!
Nice one John.
That looks like all business.
Sure wish I could take it camping.

That is an awsome looking tool!!Would a sheath or some type of cover be possible for the head?

Make another one! Or make a few... I think you'd have some takers. I never get around to buying an axe but would have jumped on this had it been available still.

Hi Folks -

I was able to handle this puppy at the Gathering and I liked the clean design and extended handle.

Another great idea from Mr. K.

I got the Belt Hawk yesterday & gotta say it is a sweet little hawk.
It came very sharp so I was glad to get the edge cover with it.
See my mini review on John's forum.

Hi XanRa -

I had opportunity to handle this hawk, and although I am admittedly a JK fanatic, this one really was nice in hand and felt like a very useful tool.

In it's basic form, this tool would serve for a lifetime. John's 01 is really good stuff.

If you do go over the edge, I would ask John to make one in his "torched oak" handle treatment - that would really set one of these hawks off.

best regards -
