I just ordered a few ceramic and Trizact belts to try.
It'll give me a little bit more confidence in the equipment.
I may have already mentioned this... but I didn't realize that a high-level sharpness can be achieved with lower grits.
I just assumed a progression up into the 1000s was required. I've seen videos where knives straight off a 140 grit KME cut down a folded post-it note.
The Microtech video was a good one to watch for me. The guy took an unsharpened blade and in 4 total passes turned it into a scalpel. He used 120 grit, 600 grit, then a stropping type wheel.
