Belt splice problems

Another reason for me to not buy Klingspor belts. To me, they would cut well for about 30-45 seconds. For the money, I’m most happy with VSM belts and don’t remember one ever coming apart at the seam..

Kingspor recently sent me a box of belts to sample. Very impress with them, I'm assuming they are ceramic, but not familiar with the model numbers. The only other Klingspors I use are the yellow J flex belts 120-400 & they are as good as it gets. The cheap ones I'm not interested in at all.

It’s been like 20 years , could of been the cheap ones? I bought them from Trugrit so I think they were top of the line? Or they have up graded their belts? I like the Hermès Blue Super J flex in 120-600 for handle shaping & sharpening are my fav!

I can grind more then 10 blade from HSS /M2,M35, M42 ,T1 etc.../ all over 64 HRC ,full flat grind ,3mm thick and 4 inch long with ONE klingspor 2x42 inch and 40 grit ceramic belt..........
