beltless carry

yup cleavage concealment works pretty derned well. been my favorite place to stash stuff for yrs. money, knife, gun- if yr packaged right from the factory you can hide a lot there. besides who's looking between em.....

If you're wearing pants with belt loops, can always molle lock to one of them. I tend to pocket carry my izula, and starting to with an RC3. Could always use the steel spring clip for the RC5 on any of the RATs with a little drilling. probably what I'd do if concealment wasnt an issue. If it is....necker.

-I use a small piece of paracord and tie the knife horizontally on my pants belt loop I dont wear a belt) using the existing holes in the sheath.

-You could also get a g-clip from spyderco and clip the knife to your waist band

- I have also used a small tiny carabiner on a belt loop like this

Thief! :p

Goodness, TOPS needs to lighten up a little.

How the hell did the folks from TOPS know the image was over here, damn that seems pretty over the top to me :jerkit:

Its easy to prevent hotlinking (by the way, that photo of the hotlink-warning is also hotlinked i believe) so they should eigther protect their files, or shut up and be happy in the free advertising via exposure one would think. :D

I usually carry my Izula in one of my pockets. Although women's pockets are smaller, and I've seen some pockets that looked to tight to put a credit card in them much less an Izula, so this may not be your best bet.

Is carrying it inverted pretty much unofficially guaranteed no to drop out of the sheath? Or would it behoove one to secure it with a strap of paracord?

i wasn't sure of the upside down carry myself, so i did a centrifugal test. i tied it to some 550 and slung it round and round, it takes alot of force to dislodge that blade from the sheath, with respect to accidental unsheathing.

If you are not comfortable with the normal lock use the sheaths features to secure it undoubtedly. like this maybe. that way the more force is exerted to fall out the tighter the hold gets, that is rather, so long as the 550 and sheath material can take.

I like pocket carry better than wearing a neck chain. Better off to go with a much lighter/smaller blade if no belt or gear.

Never seen this done in person, but you could try sewing a sheath to the inside of your waistband. Not the most aesthetic or practical method, but it works.

 So you tied some cord to it, and slung it around and around trying to unsheath the knife. Could you not have just apply weight to the izula until it finally unsheathed?

When I test all of my sheaths I just grab the tip end and sling it as hard as I can towards a safe area (use your discretion) if the knife comes out to easily it's a no go. Sometimes I can't get the knife to come out at all, just depends on the knife type etc. It's a fine line between ultimate retention and ease of use.

IWB, no problem. A slim folder with a clip (Voyager, BM 710, Spyderco, etc.) will work. Or a FB with a Kydex/Concealex sheath.
