What do you guys use to organize your belts? I hang them on everything in the shop. I could build something for minimal money and effort but just can't seem to set aside some time.

i made something that looks like a coat rack with 1" dowels. its as simple as i could think of.

Same here.

Unless you actually mean organizational schema. Mines pretty simple. Left to right low to high, one peg for used belts I'm not ready to throw away but don't use for grinding bevels.

I hang mine on the wall of the shop from left to right as above low to high grits, I hang mine on steel screw in pegs from Harbor freight.

I use the ROund cardboards that are in the box from Tugrit.com or empty packing tape rounds on a L iron or hooks on the Shop wall so the belts don't get kinks in them. Heavy to fine!

Curently hang in groups on wooded hangers but that will be changing soon. I will be screwing pvc pipe caps to the wall and then cutting pvc pipe to fit into the cap and stick out how ever far I want. I have not decided on a diamater but 4" would sure be sweet. I group belts into use, roughing, finishing, and finishing bevels. I don't have a lot of room to hang belts so I try and keep them togather.

I'm in a basement with exposed floor joists.
* Cut water bottles in half
* Using wood screws, attach the caps to the side of the joists
* Screw the top half of the bottle in

Super cheap, and flexible enough that you can pull them down pretty easy.

I was thinking of making a rack out of some dowel. I like the pvc idea better, as long as it isn't glued it could be modular.

The water bottle thing is great too super quick, I may do that for awhile.

Thanks guys.
