Ben Breda JS: W2 Fighter

That is ironwood, right? I think it is one of the best looking pieces of wood I have seen in months, and perfect for this application.

The spacer is great. The guard is well done. The blade is a great shape, nice and pointy. I like that you do not exaggerate the concave section along the blade that happens because of the slight recurve. I am a fan of the recurve, but not of the exaggerated concave section. Just my taste, but this knife does a good job at fitting within what I like best (not that this matters to anyone but me).

I especially like the profile of the handle. That is a very attractive and useful shape.

In short - you nailed it!

Great pic too, Caleb. I may be able to make a knife like this one if I put my mind to it, and threw out the failures if needed to start again, and again, and again. But, even with multiple tries, I couldn't take a picture of a knife that looks this good. Hell would freeze over first.

Can we just have the Best Bowie competition now and get it over with? I can't remember a knife I like more.
