I just got off the phone with Ben at EdgePro a few minutes ago, so I haven't gotten the extra stuff I ordered, but I'm going to post this anyway.
What a nice guy!
Ben gave me some tips both on the use of the EdgePro, and maintenance of my stones, but there was more than that. I mentioned that I had considered buying a Professional (got an Apex), but that I was thinking of getting a belt grinder.
I didn't really expect much response to that, since I would think he'd be alot more interested in selling an EdgePro than hearing about other alternatives. Instead, Ben gave me some advice about belt sanders, and a number to call for one that would meet my needs for a good price.
That was a pleasant surprise. In a time where money seems to be people's prime motivator, it was really nice to talk to someone who was more interested in me, and what I want, than just making a few extra bucks, and was willing to take of their time to make sure a customer was getting the best use out of the products they'd already bought. Very impressive.
Thanks, Ben.

Owen,

I will second your opinion about Ben. I have pestered the poor man with more questions than a person should receive - both in person and by email. He has always been a gentleman and answered my questions.

I too own an Apex now, and man it can put a nice edge on a knife.

Ben is top notch and customer-oriented. At the knife show I saw him at, he was constantly surrounded by people. He sharpened my M2 Benchmade, and even a talonite knife too. Those waterstones work surprisingly well on talonite.
