That's a wonderful use of different materials and a spectacular presentation.....pictures ain't bad either! ;)

Ben and Caleb, you 2 guys are killing me.Great knife and great image. Wow !
Cheers Keith

lots of figure in that carbon fiber and blade. And the pics are pretty nice too :D

That is frikkin stellar.

I like everything about it, the handle sculpting Ben is doing is turning out to be his "own thing", radical and nodding to Knight and Wheeler, but not copying them by any means.

The hamon is just about perfect, I can readily think of about two dozen smiths turning out hamon who should call Ben and ask him how he did it.:D

Thanks, guys! And no, it's about a 5 1/4 inch handle so about 15 overall. These handles have been evolving for me over time and recently have been heavily influenced by a bit of training in knife fighting. The little 'hook' at the middle finger works great for me because in the style of fighting I'm doing, you're making snap cuts and back cuts along with a sort of snap thrust. The knife pivots on the middle finger so for me the hook means retention. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the explanation, Ben.
I thought the handle couldn't be that small and I can see from Caleb's pic what you're talking about
as far as the pivot point of the handle.

Stellar! Gave me something to think about regarding what I want when I'm up on Ben's list..

What a great looking knife this is. I love the shape of the handle the anodised titanium spacer and guard really finishes the whole package off.

Great sheath and photography too. I love it and what's more it's on its way to my collection. :D:D

I don't know how he does it but Ben always seems to grind the CF in a way that brings the best out in it.

A while ago Ben asked me if I could supply him with some CF blocks, I said ok but I want you to make me something special and he sure has ! Watch out for more CF knives from Ben because he has another 20 blocks to work his magic on

What an outstanding knife. Every detail is perfect. Great materials balanced by great execution.

Very nicely captured, Caleb.

Very nice sheath, David

Rick, I am more than a touch jealous. Congratulations on the great score.

Chris

Amazing fighter...just about as good as it gets. The blade profile and hamon are awesome, the handle just wants to be gripped, and the spacer and guard provide the perfect subtle finishing touch. Congratulations, Ben.

Also a very fine "matching" sheath (you guys make a great team). And, finally, thanks again to Caleb for showing such fine work at its best.

Thank you so much for the kind comments, guys! Super encouraging!

Are these specs correct ? :

Great image of an absolutely cool fighter, Caleb and Ben !
Fine looking hamon !

Doug

Thank you, Doug and thanks for catching my spec error.

Thank you as well, Ben for the kind words and correct measurements.

I will say too that this is Caleb's best presentation of a hamon so far, IMHO. He just keeps getting better! Guys, if you want the best view of your hamons, send 'em to Caleb!

Huge fan. Knife, sheath, and pic all top shelf stuff.

I think the ergonomics of the handle are really going to take off Ben, great for any big knife.
