Ben Seward, JS ~ Checkered Camp Knife

Thanks, guys. I made this as a spec knife with what I would want in my personal camp knife...right down to the recurved clip 'cause ya never know when you might hafta back cut a grizzly out there;) I understand STeven's reasoning and if I would have ended up keeping it I would probably have put in a thong hole. Thanks for the kind words again. Caleb did an awesome job with the photo as usual. Maybe someday I will make a camp knife...
 
Camp knife, Bowie knife call it what you want. All I know it's a damn purdy knife. I want one if it means taking up camping. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
 
yes STeven -- it is a great looking Bowie. Wonderful knife leaving nothing to the imagination. Any collector would be proud to have it.

First did this style guard about a year ago. Recently I modified it with the faceted edges. This makes it easier on the sheath since it effectively takes the point off of the "chevron". It also allows a thicker more robust guard lug without looking bulky...besides I think the mirror polished facets look cool:cool:
