"I'll take it"

Just kidding I wish I could take it.

That is one beautiful knife right there- great photo Caleb, very nice.

And the sheath isn't too shabby either.

Ben, the checkering is really looking good and adds tremendously to a fine Bowie. Awesome image Caleb and a beautiful sheath from David as always.:thumbup:

Ben: Love your work - very well done.

Great photo Caleb

Thanks, guys. Caleb, you did awsome on the photo! I guess I've had an itch to do some checkering since I saw the Bowie John White did a while back. I talked to John about checkering about a month before he passed away...unfortunately that will be the last time I get to pick his brain. He recommended the tools and a book on checkering and carving...I wish he was here to see this one finished. He was always so willing to share...

Excellent photo of a great looking knife. Love the checkering as it really adds a great touch to the piece.

Ben, awesome knife and sheath. The checkering adds class to an already classy knife. Your work just keeps getting better and better.

Awesome Ben. My favorite of yours so far. Love the checkering. It looks like you wouldn't have had too much 'brain picking' left to do anyhow. In fact, I may have a few questions for you about checkering. ;) :)

Nice job.

Caleb, the dramatic colors and clarity of your photos continue to impress.

Excellent piece, Ben. Love how your handle turned out. The result would have made John proud.

Awesome knife. I really like the checkering, and the hamon is spot on.

I would love to know what he suggested book and tool wise. I've been pondering doing some checkered handles for a few years now, but haven't pulled the trigger. Love this knife, BTW.

WOW, once again a great Seward knife! I really like it.

Great photo by Caleb.

I would say if you are a collector to start buying all of Ben's stuff you could get.

I got Monty Kennedy's 'Checkering and Carving of Gunstocks' and the Dem-Bart master checkering set. Both are available from Jantz Supply or Brownells. I should have some WIP photos of the checkering process on my website's 'On the Bench' page next week if y'all want an idea of how I went about it.
