Bench made, gerber or extramarital ratio

And I also like the Curtiss F3 but I can't find anyone who sells it and I don't know how much it is either. And does bike make quality knives? Where are they made?

I thons the zt0300 is very good.
I carry a zt0350 ( a liner lock) and it is very tough.
Good material, good design... I really like it very much

I've been unlucky on the extramarital ratio front so I vote Benchmade

For the $500 price range that opens up the to a good amount of great knives in the market. If your looking for Heavy Duty and titanium then look at ZT, Strider, LionSteel, Combative Edge. There is such a large amount of knives to look at. The ZT 560 series is great and the 0600 is you can find one. For the price of the ZT 0600 I would almost just go for a Strider, even though I have not actually had experience with Strider myself yet.

I regularly use a flat bar at work..and they are maybe 3-4mm thick? Granted they are carbon or spring steel, but that's just something to keep in mind when you are shopping for knives. I used to think thicker is better...however the thickest blade I carry nowadays is .125" (3mm). I look at knives as cutting tools and nothing more. Why use the wrong tool for the job?

Wow I like the design and simplicity of the lion steel. What do you think is best between lion steel and ZT?

I don't know lion steel , but looking at their designs, I think I will prefer ZT

Knife-geek,

As soon as I saw your post, my first thought was the Lionsteel SR-1. I have one. A titanium mono block handle sounds like what you are looking for.

How do you like your SR-1 ?? It's an awesome looking knife. So far it's the only one besides the extrema ration that I'm actually really interested in.

And I meant "does boker make quality knives" not "bike"

Oh man, auto correct is not your friend!

I have handled a SR-1A and it was big, beefy, the blade has a ton of belly, the handle is kind of slick, and the blade is super thick but ground to a really fine edge... and I want one. If the one I handled was about $250 I may have actually bought it and be broke. I wouldn't say it is worth the price of a new one, but used ones pop up here for around $150-170 a lot and are well worth that much. They also have a replaceable lock insert, so they technically have a nearly unlimited life span (you should be able to contact Lion Steel to get some). My only complaint is that the unihandle design would make it a pain to clean. I would still recommend the 550 over the SR-1A.
