i am looking for a bench milling machine, either a knee or a bed mill as i work with both at my work...there are some nice knee and bed mills out there....any one here use a bench mill? and what do you have? ..there is no way i could get a full sized bridgeport in my small shop.

Hey sorry you have not got some help.
You may get lots more hits if you post in the Maker's forum or at least in the Mantenance and Tinkering forum.
I have a friend, he used to be a big suit at Hewlett-Packard, . . . well anyway he was pretty smart (read brilliant) . . . he moved a full size Bridgeport down a flight of stairs and into his quite small work shop in his finished basement. BY HIMSELF !
When I asked him how he did it he mumbled in his old farmer like voice something about a few blocks and jacks or some such. I can't imagine. Though I saw it sitting there in his basement shop. That much weight on a sandard residential stairs ? Nahhhhhhh he must have had a secret door or at least disassembled it to the max but that is a huge amount of work.
anyway . . . I wish you luck and I'm all jealous and stuff.
PS: I'm a metal head my self . . . here's my lathe
