Bench press for stamping name

How many ton bench press is required for stamping a name? Will 6 ton do or is a 12 needed?

John, I'm using a 6 ton right now and it's not enough. 12 should be fine.

I use a 12 ton bottle jack between steel plates suspended with all thread. I experimented a bit to figure out how many 'pumps' were required after making contact to get the impression I wanted. With 12 ton I did not have to push the jack to the max.
