Benchmadde Or ZT?

while benchmade makes a good product, ZT is just on fire with their offerings recently. I have to say Zero Tolerance all the way! the 0562 is also out now.... might be worth a look and the extra cash :)

Another vote for the ZT 0566, both the reg. grip and the mini grip feels too fat / thick in hand, and Benchmades QC isn't quite up to par for the last few years.
Some would suggest the PM2, yes, the PM2 is very nice, but the tolerance is not there. Even when I cherry picked mine at the local B&M from the 3 PM2's left in stock, all three had uneven bevel grind (which I corrected soon after getting home), one of which can not spydie drop, the other has blade play. The one I picked was near perfect but had a somewhat loose retention as it had opened up in pocket even with the back against the seam.

My ZT 0566 came perfect, no play, perfect centreing, better blade steel, just need some time to break in. It can also be de-assisted. Very well worth the price IMO.

I love the Griptilian. I have many variations large and small. The ZT0566, however, is one of my favorite knives of all time. I love everything about it. It's just falls perfectly into the right range of size, weight, performance, materials, and looks. Plus Every ZT I have ever purchased has been perfect (I can't say the same about benchmade) and that Hinderer design is truly legendary.

Do you need a knife with a heavy handle? If you're purchasing for performance think about the attributes you actually need.
