Man was I excited to open the pdf catalog at benchmade's site, followed by disappointment. Not many new folders, specifically axis locks.

The only one I'm interested in is the 470 Emissary. Other than that there's not much else I'd like to get.

I can see it's gonna be a long long time till they come up with anything as good as the Rift.

The Emissary looks cool, but I wouldn't get one. Nothing else really of interest in the catalog.

I am looking forward to picking up one of the new manual 860 Bedlams. I am also slightly interested in checking out the new Axial Series Paul knives. The model 230 A1 Spearpoint with G-10 handles is faintly calling out to me. :D

The smaller version of the Lum monster looks good... I'd have to fondle one first though.

I'm interested in the 581 because of m390 and g10. Hope it it isn't that chunky like seen on the pictures. Anybody remembers when the last LE of the 94x series came out? I want another from that series with reverse tanto blade but all they got is a green handle. I'm definitely not planning to buy that one.

Like the general consensus, I'm not too enthralled by the line up, however, the 470 looks like it might be worth picking up (at least maybe a second hand). The rest of the knives are basically variations of blade within the same models... ah well.

Good to see I'm not the only one. Maybe they will surprise us at SHOT or throughout the year with new releases?

It's sad when the new release by them I find most interesting is that weird convertible push dagger thing in the Harley Davidson catalog. :(

.. still no griptilian (551) in m390... maybe next year :D.. but I like 915 Triage in orange.

In the last few years I have not been terribly interested in their new models. But the 480-1 Shoki with CF scales and M390 blade caught my eye. As soon as I can find a job, that will be one of my first purchases.

Any balisongs other than the 32, 51, and 53? I have some difficulty viewing PDF's on this computer.

I don't care for any of the new designs. A big disappointment.

Ive felt this way for the past couple of years. Dont even look at the HK line. They discontinued all the good ones.

I am excited for the customizable Griptilian feature though.

Same here. Nothing there that interests me enough to make me seriously consider buying it. The only ones that look cool are the new Barrage and the 470. And both of those are A/O, which I really don' t care for.

To be honest, the thing that looks the most intriguing to me is the leather clip sheath that the 480 Shoki's come with. Looks like it'd be great for carrying slipjoits in. Too bad it's not listed as an accessory.

The 581 Barrage looks promising though. The plastic handles (Valox?) of the 580 were a turn-off, but the handle upgrade of the 581, not to mention the M390 Supersteel could make this one a real winner. If only it were non-assisted; an assisted AXIS lock seems contradictory to me, since the AXIS is so quick to open anyway, and just as quick to close, except that assist makes closing it with a wrist flick impossible.
