Upon seeing the stock picture of the 757, I made the face of someone that just drove by a water treatment plant.

...Then I saw it in the video with the coated blade and it actually looks neat, especially since the recurve is sharpened on BOTH sides.

...But then I saw that is was a pseudo-tanto, and... stuff. I thought "What the hell am I going to do with a 1" acute recurve, a 1.9" straight middle edge, then a 1" normal edge all smashed onto one hard-use folder??"

...Also, what is Benchmade's fascination with putting S30V on knives that should probably be running D2, M4, or M390? S30V can be had on $50 Kershaws.

The video made the Vicar and Serum look huge.

Love the axis double action though

I like that serum. Not into benchmade that much or a 3 1/2 inch blade but i think ill haffta grab that one.

Nice steel. A bit chunky, and hoped for smoother edge, and ambi clip. But again, Sibert line of knives are usually that way.

The 757 Vicar features titanium liners and liner lock.

Will all of this knife be sharpened with LifeSharp?

I could see many potential owners wanting to buy this knife but being apprehensive if they do not know whether this knife is or is not a model you will sharpen fully.

That is one of the things you do not need to ask about Benchmade blade. :) The gurantee of BKC is outstanding!

Steep Country with wood handle (hint, hint BM) for me! That blade looks to be extremely practical to me. I'll be watching for this one to show up in stock somewhere.... and probably buy more than one!

I have always wondered why this is. Does anyone know?

Probably because they're ground in a way that can't be sharpened quickly. Benchmade does their sharpening on belts and grinders, and there's no quick way to do that on a serrated blade. Hopefully the Vicar's recurve is wide enough that it won't be an issue.

Is paying an extra fee to Benchmade to sharpen a serrated blade an option that is available?

If you have a partially serrated knife, they do not sharpen serrations. On this particular knife, that may be even more problematic because I think even fewer sharpeners will work well with that small recurve (or whatever it is) than do with serrations.

No. You can pay extra for a blade replacement, and their prices are very reasonable, but they will not touch the serrations.

At least thus far, the best sharpener for teeth I have found is the Spyderco Sharpmaker.
