Benchmade 275 Adamas

Well, with my list for the end of the year, it may be a blessing in disguise!! Gives me something to look forward too.

But I would still like to see it out this coming month.
 
Been playin with one for a week now, i like big folders...the fit and finish is exellent...action is smoothe as glass....blade to handle ratio is perfect....i really like the all blacked out look of this knife....blade grind is awesome.... IMO, this is one of the nicest knives BM has come out with in a long time if you like large folders.

Those photos just got me all excited. Can't wait till they ship. I was amazed to see the pricing on these when I ordered mine. I figured it go for almost double.

Since you have an "in" with somebody, maybe you can help enlighten me on a few things:

1) any idea why some poster earlier on the thread mentioned 25% Axis lock strength?
2) can you confirm that it will not be available for us normal folk until the end of january?
3) in your pictures the clip looks different than the split arrow clips seen in the stock photos.. is that a LE black on black only thing? EDIT: according to stock photos on the black LE versions, there are 3 screw holes for the clip, which indicates split arrows.. so yours must be extra special or the stock photos are wrong. I sure hope they are, I like the clip on yours much better

They increased the size of the axis hardware to increase the strength on this knife. Grind looks ridiculously low, especially for the stock thickness. The foldover clip is interesting, except that it is too low on the handle to actually give any advantage over a regular split arrow. But a really deep carry wouldn't make sense for this one anyway.
 
These are for sale right now. They have leaked at least a few anyway. Number 77 of 1000 is available at a site just Google it. Oh and they want 195.00 I'll wait and pay 120.00

Better jump all over that...sounds like there giving them away at dealer cost.

Grind is wicked....knife sets perfect in the pocket....for this knife to impress me it must be pritty sweet.
 
I really like the look of the blade and handle, but I'm not a fan of that pocket clip or weight...
