I am selling my LNIB Benchmade 42.
I have lightly flipped this knife over a mattress and the only thing it has ever cut was my fingers. I know this for a fact because I have been the sole owner of this knife since it was shipped from Benchmade. The 154cm blade has never been sharpened since leaving the factory. It's still very sharp too. The knife has been stored in a temperature controlled safe with desiccant packs. There is not a speck of corrosion anywhere on this knife and the original box, sheath and paperwork are in great shape as well.
However, as I've previously mentioned, this knife has been lightly flipped. It in not quite "new in box". The tang pin has been very slightly peened due to the handles contacting them during flipping and the inside of the latch has very light rub marks from rubbing the handles during closing. This is from maybe an hour of light flipping. Those are the only wear indications that I can see showing that this knife has been handled. The only reason I'm selling this knife is because I have an expensive dentist appointment soon and I could use the extra cash.
In conclusion, the knife, sheath and box are in excellent condition. Not quite "new in box", but very close.
I'm asking $460 shipped or best offer.
I will accept Postal Money Orders, Paypal Gift, or regular Paypal +3%. I will entertain partial trade offers, but straight cash gets first priority. I may be interested in a stone washed G10 Cold Steel Espada XL as a partial trade. P.S. I see in the new trailer that Hit Girl will be flipping Benchmade 42's in the upcoming movie "KickA** 2". When she dropped the name "Benchmade 42 Bali-Song" in the first film, interest and prices of Benchmade 42's spiked significantly. If I didn't need the cash, I would wait until after the movie comes out on the 16th to sell the knife. I doubt the price will go down on BM42's any time soon, but I bet the price will go up significantly after their second major appearance on the big screen.
