Benchmade 470 Emissary.

I wanted to love the 470 series, hoped it would give me a small carry option to rotate in with my 707, but I found the assist and safe annoying and unnecessary. It was like a prettier but less useful 707 in the end when I compared them (707 is easier, IMO, to open and close, 707 is slightly smaller in the pocket, etc.).

That said, the one I handled did fire out with authority. So if you like it I'd suggest you clean it and see if the problem doesn't go away, get if fixed.

I really like my 470. The spring assist was one of the primary reasons i bought it. Never gonna sell it

^^ That. Mine is super fast. The assisted knives are great for some of us older guys whose fingers dont move like they used to.
