Benchmade 530 for edc, good choice? Better than grip?

No need to "attack" me bro. I agree it does have good steel. It's just a very "stabby" stiletto looking blade and with the coffin style handle it looks like an OTF knife or a "bad guy" knife you see in the movies. Each of us may have our opinions.

I guess it was a little harsh, my bad... i just know that it is a good knife and it shouldn't be thrown out just cuz it doesn't look like your standard folder... luckily the handle is a lot thinner than any otf ive ever handled even if it looks like an otf and that is one of its finest points, it is so thin and easy to carry while also having a good steel and an axis lock

They are all good knives. I think you have to realize also that we have become addicted to novelty, much of which is positive. Specialized blade shapes are a good thing. But spearpoints were VERY popular in the past, even as a standard skinner blade, not just as the aggressive profile we tend to see now..
