The 530 is about the perfect knife for edc to me.The axis lock is awesome.The 530 is big enough @ 4 1/4" closed for about anything,but its super slim and light.The dagger shape blade also just flat looks cool.I loved mine about to death resharpening it and reprofiling more than a few times until i got the center line so far off it would take a radical regrind to get it cutting right again.I got my paperwork and all set up to send it back to BM.They were very nice to deal with and the price was reasonable.Somehow,i just never got around to it.I dug it out the other day and ground out a Alabama damascus blade.Just got it heat treated ,tempered,and final fitted today and im back in business.It seems to flip open and closed properly with a solid lockup and cut like a champ.I saw no reason to replace the thumb stud,as i never use them with the axis lock.What do you guys think of my project?

I imagine quite a few people would buy those if you were to sell them.

You know what?I didnt even notice it until you saw it.I took a look and the screw head is busted off.) : Im just gonna put a drop of ca on it and let her go.Too much trouble to get it out now.
 
You shoulda put a leaf spring in and made it an auto. Nice.
